§ 10-1. Court cost for use in funding criminal justice education programs.

(a)

Imposed; amount. Pursuant to F.S. § 938.15, the county clerk of the court shall, in addition to any fine or other penalty, assess $2.00 as a court cost against every person issued a violation pursuant to F.S. ch. 318 occurring within the village.

(b)

Collection; disposition of funds. Pursuant to F.S. § 318.21(2)(g)(1), such assessment shall be collected by the county clerk of the court and forwarded to the village and may be used for funding criminal justice education degree programs and training programs for law enforcement officers and support personnel, and such other purposes as allowed by law.
